Vancouver in November Celebrates Musique Francophone
Farthest removed from the Francophone music scene stands British Columbia, a province where its performances are scarce and its CDs have a hard time making their way into the record shops. However, there is a small and closely knit community of Francophones, Anglophones, and Allophones who love and support music of the Franco persuasion. In November, Vancouver celebrates a humble but beautiful festival called Coup de Cœur.
2014’s Coup de Cœur Francophone de Vancouver marks its 20th anniversary with performances by artists accounting for seven nominations from the upcoming Quebec Music Industry (ADISQ) Awards. Below is a roundup of the three events.
