Billboard Top 50 Country Airplay Tunes of 2014 in Canada

country_radioRanked by the number of spins, here are the 50 most-played songs on Canadian country radio during the 2014 chart year from Nielsen BDS. “River Bank” by  Brad Paisley was tops and Brett Kissel’s “3, 2, 1” was the top Canadian song at #20. Thirteen of the 50, or 26%, were tunes by Canadian artists which have been bolded in red in the chart below. This is a big improvement from last year which saw only seven CanCons make it. According to the number of spins of these 50 songs, country radio preferred American artists overwhelmingly at 73%. Canadian artists accounted for 23% of spins. Songs voiced by women made up 12.5% of the plays and male singers 87.5%.
