Ottawa to Host the 2017 JUNO Awards


Honouring the year of Canada’s 150th birthday, The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) has announced that the 2017 JUNO Awards will be held in Ottawa, the nation’s capital. The 46th annual JUNO Awards gala will take place at the Canadian Tire Centre on Sunday, April 2, 2017, capping off a week’s celebrations beginning March 27. The awards were last held in Ottawa in 2012 with host William Shatner. Prior to that, 2003 saw Ottawa’s first time to host with Shania Twain as emcee. 2016’s JUNO gala will take place in Calgary Sunday, April 3.
