Canadian Invasion Status

As we mentioned previously, for the first time in history, four Canadian artists held the top four spots in the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 last week. This week, while Britain’s Adele claims the top spot, six of the Top 10 songs in the States are by Canadians. Yes, more than half! Furthermore, with her performance on the Ellen show and invitation as a special guest performing on stage with Taylor Swift at her final concert of the 1989 World Tour in the United States, Toronto’s Alessia Cara is up to #15.

Canadians have been doing better than usual in Britain. Four of the Top 10 songs on the UK charts this week are from Canadians. We’re doing slightly better in Australia with 4.5. The 0.5 is Francesco Yates’ feature in Robin Schulz “Sugar”. Yes, it’s Top 10 in Australia!
