Canadian Hot 100, 16 November 2015

Hedley‘s album Hello debuts on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart at #1. It is the first number one album from a British Columbian artist through 2015 and the year’s 9th number one Canadian album. It is also the first time the band has scored a chart topping LP. Storms from 2011 peaked at #2 and Wild Life from 2013 at #4. Hello sold 14,500 copies last week meaning that Hedley has now sold over 900,000 albums combined to date. The title cut from the LP leaps from #35 to #20 on the Hot 100. Another big gainer is Justin Bieber‘s “I’ll Show You” which moves from #28 to #15. A track from his newly released album Purpose debuts on the Hot 100: “Love Yourself” (#85). The other new entry this week is Gord Bamford‘s “Don’t Let Her Be Gone” (#97). As you can see in the chart below, five of the Top 10 songs are by Canadian artists.
