Toronto rapper (not Raptor) Drake accompanied Bajan pop superstar Rihanna to 842 Gerrard Street East (near Carlaw Avenue) in CN Towerville where sits a Caribbean-style restaurant named The Real Jerk. The establishment temporarily shut down operations so that the two of them could get down to business, the business of shooting a music video that is. The MV in question is for Rihanna’s Top 20 hit “Work” which features the nasally rapper. Not surprisingly, a number of eager fans gathered outside the eatery in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the stars. Drake has been working hard lately to upgrade his city into a more powerful international entertainment hub. The humble restaurant will undoubtedly see a boost in business from being featured in the video which should keep the health inspectors busy as well. Drake’s own track “Summer Sixteen” is big on the charts and heralds an upcoming album expected out later this year. Drake is nominated for five JUNO Awards this year mainly for his 2015 album If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.
