They will join the previously announced Alessia Cara, Bryan Adams, Coleman Hell, Dean Brody, Dear Rouge, Scott Helman, Shawn Hook, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, and Whitehorse. Some of the performers will be involved in a special tribute to Hall of Fame inductee Burton Cummings and some will perform in support of MusiCounts. Regarding the latter, it was just announced that Sirius XM Canada has donated $100,000 to the organization that supports music programs in schools and puts musical instruments into the hands of students. This 2015/16 school term MusiCounts is awarding $675,000 worth of instruments to 77 schools across Canada.
Another amazing announcement is that this year’s JUNO telecast will be the first music awards show ever in all of North America to be broadcast in 4K. This is the latest hi-tech wizardry when it comes to television with enhanced motion detail, increased screen pixel counts, and greater brightness range. This ultra HD resolution will give viewers a very realistic stadium experience from the comfort of their own homes.
