The JUNO Awards were not the only good television on Sunday evening. While Calgary was honouring Toronto’s The Weeknd, Montreal was swooning away as superstar Marie-Mai was a guest on The Voice. She performed a number of her hits, some on her own and others joined by the eight semi-finalists. It was the episode that saw that eight cut in half in the unveiling of the four finalists. The lucky one on Team Ariane Moffatt is Noémie Lorzema. Team Éric Lapointe settled on Travis Cormier. Stéphanie St-Jean is the chosen one on Team Pierre Lapointe. Yvan Pedneault is Team Marc Dupré’s singer of choice. Past winners of The Voice were Valérie Carpentier (Season 1), Yoan (Season 2), and Kevin Bazinet (Season 3).

The winner of Season 4 will be announced at the finale on April 10 broadcast on the TVA Network. JUNO Award winner Alessia Cara will be taking the stage at the big event. Joining her will be American group DNCE (“Cake by the Ocean”), Fred Fortin, the aforementioned Kevin Bazinet, Les Trois Accords, and Marie-Pierre Arthur.
