Alessia Cara and The Rock for Disney’s Moana

Alessia Cara may not have taken home any hardware from the 2016 MTV EMAs (she received just one nomination), but the sizzling singer is continuing to slay. When Australia’s Troye Sivan recently came to Canada, airport customs asked him who he was. He replied, “I’m a singer”. Customs: “Who?”. Troye: “I got a song with Alessia Cara”. He claims that won them over. The song of course was last year’s “Wild”.

Alessia is now collaborating with Dwayne “The Rock” Jonson of sorts. The former Calgary Stampeder turned pro wrestler and now highest paid actor is lending his voice to Maui in the upcoming Disney animated feature Moana. He does some singing in the movie, and in this case, it … does … matter, because he’s not bad at it. His song “You’re Welcome” will appear on the soundtrack. Alessia Cara is contributing song “How Far I’ll Go” to the soundtrack and released the official MV which we have embedded below.  iTunes
