Billboard Canada Hot Digital Songs of 2016

Below is the Billboard year-end chart of the top 25 digital tunes purchased in Canada through 2016. The chart was compiled from a comprehensive pool of digital retailers by Nielsen SoundScan. It reflects chart activity from the surveys dated December 5th, 2015 to November 26th, 2016. Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” was the most purchased song. To date, Music Canada has certified it at 7x Platinum representing 560,000 units. In the Top 25 below, we have boded Canadian artists in red. It is quite something that Edmonton newcomer Ruth B had the 18th most purchased song of the year beating out anything by The Weeknd, Alessia Cara, and Shawn Mendes. Congrats to Ruth!
