Klô Pelgag Cleans Up at the 2017 ADISQ Premier Gala

Klô Pelgag‘s star shone the brightest on Thursday night at the 2017 ADISQ Premier Gala. The singer-songwriter won a pair of Félix awards in the first installment of the celebration of the music industry in the province of Quebec.

Thanks to her beautiful album L’étoile thoracique, Klô received the trophy for critics’ choice as well as best alternative album of the year. The producer of her second offering, Sylvain Deschamps, saw his talent rewarded earlier, at the industry gala.

Nabbing New Artist of the Year in 2014, the singer could add to her hardware again on Sunday at the main ADISQ gala with the Félix for composer of the year and female artist.

Almost a year after Leonard Cohen‘s passing, the artist’s work continues to be a source of praise and rewards.

Two posthumous honors were bestowed upon the creator of the immortal “Hallelujah”. He has been the most famous outside the province of Quebec in the last 12 months. He also offered the best English-language album, You Want It Darker.

The return of Céline Dion in French on a record was highly anticipated, and the Canadian diva easily took the award for best-selling album thanks to Encore un soir.

Sylvain Garneau, the father of Yoan – winner of the second edition of The Voice – rode to victory in the best country album category, he who released La clé du bonheur after a career spanning more than 40 years.

In total, 20 Félix trophies were doled out during the evening.

On Sunday, Louis-José Houde will once again be at the helm of the ADISQ Gala. With the success of his album Paloma, Daniel Belanger is the favourite going into the event.
