The biggest Franco song of the year was Jean Leloup’s “Je joue de la guitar” (4th). RPM magazine stopped publication in 2000, the final issue being November 6. The Canadian Singles Chart (produced by Neilsen SoundScan) began handling the honours. However, online archived charts begin in July 2001. We therefore do not have access to singles charts for November and December 2000, and there is no year-end chart for 2000.
