We have our first #1 Canadian album of 2015. Jean Leloup’s A Paradis City sold 21,000 copies, the highest one-week sales total of the year so far among both Canadian and non-Canadian releases. Diana Krall’s Wallflower is at #2, and the various artists tribute to the songs of Yvon Deschamps is at #7. On the Hot 100, Shawn Mendes takes over the top spot involving Canadian artists as “Something Big” moves up to #11. Two tracks from his upcoming debut LP Handwritten became available for digital download and appear in the Hot 100. “Live It Up” by Toronto’s Bellwoods and “Blessings” featuring Drake debut on the chart as well.
