Avil Lavigne, who had the most successful Canadian single last year worldwide, has been crowned the number one performer by the city of brotherly love.
The Canadian princess of pop-punk was invited to Philadelphia over the holidays to perform at the city’s Jingle Ball hosted by radio station Q102. Jingle Balls are popular in the United States and are Christmas concerts put on by several big radio stations in various cities. Jingle Ball concerts usually feature very big name artists.
Philadelphia’s Q102 conducted a poll this month asking the question, “Who is the Greatest Jingle Ball Performer We’ve Ever Had?” After rigorous voting, Avril Lavigne was declared the best performer of all-time, beating out such artists as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pitbull, Kelly Clarkson, and Train.
